Amanda Christan has worked as a Makeup Artist in the beauty and fashion industry for over 25 years in New York.
I started doing make-up with my granny Zula when I was a little girl growing up in Georgia. I dreamed of going to NYC and becoming a make-up artist. So at 24 I left the south and headed to the big city. It took about 10 years of hard work to make it but it was worth it. My work has been featured in leading fashion magazines like Harper's Bazaar, New York Magazine, and on the cover of Rolling Stone with Fiona Apple. Seeing my make-up on the runways of New York fashion week was also a blast.
Some of my celebrity clients have included Sarah Jessica Parker, Natalie Portman, Angelina Jolie, and Isabella Rossellini, to name a few. Working at the Grammy Awards, with musicians Sheryl Crow, Fiona Apple, and Joan Baez will always be the highlight of my career. I have been the spokesperson for Max Factor and Bourjois.
Making national television appearances and press events with top beauty editors. Through my art and love of makeup, I always work to create a space where all women can feel beautiful in their own skin. Beauty makes us feel alive and helps us discover our innate power & grace.
